Barbara Rogers, 75, of Ames, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Quality Inn & Suites, 2601 East 13th Street, Ames, IA.

Barbara Ann Rogers was born July 22, 1948, in Belmond, Iowa to John and Grace (Allen) Jones. She graduated from Belmond High School and went on to Iowa State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She was united in marriage to Jack Everett Rogers on July 1, 1965, in La Grange, Iowa. From this union they had three children: Christina, Mike, and Jack. At a later time, Barb and Jack divorced. Barb worked at Iowa State University and later retired as a Family Interaction Analyst.

Barb was a strong person, who had a wonderful sense of humor and always wanted to help people. She would typically try to find the hardest crossword puzzles to solve; she enjoyed reading mystery novels and was a big fan of Agatha Christie. She enjoyed spending time with her family and celebrating God.

She is survived by her children: Christina Rogers, Mike Rogers, and Jack Rogers; grandchildren: Chris Cowan, Nick Cowan, Ryan Cowan, Ashley Rogers, Carter Rogers, Jack Rogers III, Phoebe Rogers, Charlene Rogers; great grandchildren: Keaton, Aiden, Abney, and Adam; sisters: Colleen Flanagan and Monica Kohmetscher. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Grace Jones; brothers: Larry, Haden, Anthony and Sisters Mary Jones and Carolyn (Jones) Sommers.
