Colleen Luckiesh, 58, of Colo, Iowa (formerly of Nelsonville, OH) passed away peacefully on April 8, 2023, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Colleen Eva Luckiesh was born on August 13, 1964, in Kansas City, Missouri to Donald and Kathryn (Arnold) Kelly. She later attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska where she met her husband. She married Bennett Mathew Luckiesh on May 6, 1984, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2018.

Colleen worked for a time as a veterinary assistant and dog groomer. Some of Colleen's hobbies included raising and showing collies, horseback riding, and listening to the Heritage Singers' music. She was devoted to reading the Bible and enjoyed Bible narratives.

Colleen is survived by her half-brother Michael (Marci) Kelly of Russellville, Arkansas, brother Donald (Melinda) Kelly Jr. of Banville, Arkansas, sisters Donna (Glen) Gillies of Russellville, Arkansas, and Kitty (Stacey) Gaskins of Lebanon, Missouri, brother-in-law Mark (Shirley) Luckiesh of Colo, Iowa, and sister-in-law Joella (Paul) Smith of Tyler, Texas, plus nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bennett, her parents, and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
