Gregory Sanchez, 80, of Nevada, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Israel Hospice House in Ames. Greg's family is currently planning his celebration of life.

Gregory "Greg" Peter Sanchez was born May 29, 1942, in Mason City, Iowa to Doretes and Ruth (Vega) Sanchez. He grew up in Mason City where he attended high school and DMACC. Greg was united in marriage to Judith Mae Ward on October 15, 1962, and celebrated 60 years together. The couple made their home in Nevada and were blessed with two children, Brooke and Benjamin. Greg made his career as an Auto CAD working at Burke Cooperation in Nevada.

In his free time, Greg enjoyed teaching his sons to play soccer and watching them play in games. He was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and was regularly cheering on the football and basketball teams. Most of all, Greg loved spending time and traveling with Judy and his two sons.

Greg is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Sanchez; sons, Brooke Sanchez and Benjamin Sanchez; brother, Alex (Linda) Sanchez; and sister, Delores Cronk. He was preceded in death by his parents.
