Thomas A. Hervin, age 77, of Ames, Iowa, died Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Des Moines VA Medical Center.
Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the Iowa Veterans Center in Adel, Iowa. Condolences may be expressed online at www.amesmonument.com.
Thomas Allan Hervin was born December 15, 1944, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Wesley Harry and Lenore (Wendt) Hervin. He grew up in Minnesota and served in the United State Air Force from 1964-68. Thomas was retired from a career in real estate and made his home in Iowa in November of 2017 to be near his daughter after his wife's death in 2016.
He enjoyed watching football, especially his beloved Minnesota Vikings, as well as messing around on his computer.
Survivors include his wife, Remia; five children, Erica, Peter, Krislee, Casey, and Sean; and two granddaughters, Helena and Lucy.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and two wives.
Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of Thomas and his family.
