Linda C. Welpott, age 70, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, died Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at ManorCare in Arlington Heights.

Graveside memorial services will be in the Holstein Cemetery, Holstein, Iowa, at a later date. Condolences may be expressed online at www.amesmonument.com.


Linda Clair (Boock) Welpott was born February 7, 1951, in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn Laverne and Ruby Maxine (Smith) Boock of Holstein. She was welcomed home to the family farm by her brother Paul. Her childhood and school years were spent in this idyllic setting west of Holstein.

Linda was baptized in 1951, and later, in 1965, confirmed in her faith at the Holstein United Methodist Church. She graduated from Holstein High School in 1969, then attended Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa.

Linda married William Henry Welpott IV at Holstein United Methodist Church on August 18, 1972. They made their home in the greater Chicago, Illinois, area where they raised their sons, Grant and Kyle. Bill passed away in February, 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Grant William Welpott, and Kyle Chadwick Welpott, both of Arlington Heights, IL; a brother, Paul (Gail) Boock of Ankeny; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, William H. Welpott V; her parents; and her parents-in-law, William H. Welpott III and Joan Welpott Gerrard.
