Steven R. Fox, age 62, of Ames, Iowa, died together with his wife Kathy at their home in Ames on Monday, March 9, 2020.

Per his wishes, Steven was cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.

Steven Roger Fox was born February 8, 1958, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Roger and Corinne (Alexander) Fox. He graduated in 1976 from Northeast Hamilton High School in Blairsburg, Iowa, then earned his associates degree from Ellsworth Community College in 1978.

In January of 1997, Steve was united in marriage to Kathleeen Monica Grady. Steve was employed as a truck driver for many years. He and Kathy enjoyed many motorcycle trips on his Harley-Davidson.

Survivors include his son, Daniel (Sarah) Fox of Radcliffe and their children Molly, Peter, and Sawyer; his daughter, Kate (Adam) Mattingly of Toledo and their children Ty and Taya; two step-daughters, Mary (Mark) Handsaker and their children Paige and Cash, and Julie (Brad) Samson and their children Nash and Blake, all of Nevada; his parents, Roger and Corinne Fox of Iowa Falls; a brother, Kevin (Beth) Fox of Winters, CA; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

In addition to his wife, Kathy, Steve was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Helen Fox; and his maternal grandparents, J. Estel and Genevieve Alexander.

Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of Steve and his family.
